Vietnam Recycles leads the way showcasing best practice for e-waste at HCMC Recycling Day 2016
Vietnam Recycles, the free take-back program for used or defective electronic equipment showcased a range of fun, exciting and educational activities at the ninth annual Recycling Day 2016. The activity both supports the HCMC Natural Resources and Environment Department’s green message for the city’s future; helps individuals and companies to learn more about the government’s aim to overcome the indiscriminate disposal of e-waste causing environmental issues.
The event was held at HCMC Labor Culture Palace, 55B Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, District 1. Set in a festival-like atmosphere, Vietnam Recycles area included quizzes, a unique photo corner and a short video about e-waste recycling. Based on its 3T premise (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), all activities aimed to communicate and create awareness among enterprises and locals in terms of the importance of professional take-back and recycling for electronic products.
